Our expert instructors at Monarch Beach Bay Club will teach you how to pop up and ride a wave, along with how to select waves, paddling techniques, timing, etiquette, and ocean safety.

Certified in CPR and First Aid, our instructor’s passion for teaching and their friendly attitudes make learning how to surf fun for everyone -- whether you’ve never tried before or want to take your skill to the next level.

All lessons are private for each group, meaning you won’t be taking a class with other people you don’t know. We pride ourselves on our near 100% success rate of students standing up during their first time out, and coming away with enough stoke to last a lifetime.

1 HOUR PRIVATE: 1 Person: $160 | 2 People: $280 | 3 People: $400

2 HOUR PRIVATE: 1 Person: $220 | 2 People: $420 | 3 People: $620

Cancellation Policy

• Please provide all cancellation notices by either texting 949.594.2202 or emailing monarch@expertactive.com

  • FULL REFUND: 12 hours > notice

  • 50% REFUND or RESCHEDULE: 6 hours > notice

  • NO REFUND: 2 hours > notice (but you may reschedule for a +$30 fee)

  • NO REFUND: 2 hours < notice

• The ocean and weather are constantly changing and our instructors cannot control the conditions. Sometimes the waves are calm and other times they are on the rough side -- welcome to surfing! We assure you that instructors will keep you safe and make an effort to show you a good time, no matter what. 

  We reserve the right to change any itinerary to match existing conditions. If we must cancel due to unsafe or unsuitable weather or sea conditions (as determined by our staff and/or lifeguards), you will have your choice of RESCHEDULING or a FULL REFUND. We are not responsible for non-refundable hotel or transportation costs. If a customer desires to end the lesson early he or she will not receive a refund.
