Have you ever been in a bad mood, headed out for a dip in the ocean and emerged feeling revived and calm? There’s a reason for that! When we swim in the ocean our bodies are able to assimilate these vital elements that promote healing. Here at Expert Active, we get to see first hand how the ocean benefits and brings joy to our guests as we we take them out surfing, kayaking, and paddle boarding. Here are five reason why taking a dip in the salty ocean is a great idea:

1.Sea water is a tremendous curing, clearing and cleansing agent. The ocean is both a natural exfoliator and moisturizer leaving your skin feeling refreshed and rejuvenated. Salt water also serves to heal cuts and sores and it is a good remedy for acne. When you you swim in the ocean, your pores open up and and all those healthy minerals and amino acids help draw out impurities. Your largest organ will thank you for splashing around in the sea water!

2. Sea water can help improve your immune system. There are vital elements, vitamins, mineral salts and amino acids in seawater that produce antibiotic and antibacterial effects to help promote a healthy immune system. Swimming in sea water opens pores to allow the absorption of sea minerals and the expulsion of disease-causing toxins.
